Does anyone know what this could be? The shiny black spot. It’s hard and the little guy is doing just fine. Is this some sort of sap from an injury perhaps? Maybe I just don’t remember anything happening to it in the shuffle of settling him.
Hey planta friends! I’ve been taking care of this aloe plant for my best friend for a few weeks now, first 3 pics are from today, the last pic is the day I got it. I’m not super familiar with aloe at ALL. But there’s 3 new leaves, and it’s now standing up almost completely on its own, so I know it’s improving. Any further suggestions to bring this baby back to life? 🥹

My Mordor, who was the first cactus in my collection to bloom (May 2022) - and what a bloom. She is currently clumping like crazy, and the flowers didn’t happen this year due to everything going on in my personal life since May ha. “Mordor” because there used to be what looks like a miniature gate. “Mordor” also because the pain from these spines makes you want to throw yourself into a volcano. She needs a bigger pot.
My frizzle sizzle has been flowering. I thought they flowered in the winter normally. I think I might chop them since it’s causing my spirals to die off. What do you guys do with yours?
Monkey Tail is growing thin? Growing arms? But it’s in a warm south-facing sun room. Should I rotate it more? Should I cut off the thin parts?
Just bought this moon cactus today, named her Luna! Super pretty but Planta says it’s a harder plant to care for. Never owned one before, any tips?
Hi, does anybody know how to get ride of mealy bugs? my mom has a jade that I am taking care of, but I recently noticed some tiny white bugs on it, and gooey white stuff appeared the day after. So I’d appreciate it if I could have some advice to treat the plant. Thank you! 🙏
I guess these snake plants really DO like sun! He’s leaning towards the south west window - in a matter of a day. :) guess I’ll be rotating him.
Hi everyone! I have these succulent pots I got off Amazon and either with care or the shallow pot, many of my succulents have out grown it. As u can see the one with a long stalk is growing babies from its stem- should I relocate them to a different pot? I have not that much experience with succulents- often overwatering so I’m so surprised and happy about the ones I have. In the second photo u can see they are just starting to grow on top of each other. What would be the best type of pot if moved? Due to limited space I combined them so I’m rly against splitting them into, as u can see up to 6 to 10 diff small pots. Or should I leave them be? Mostly it’s appearances and worry about them breaking off since are few are trailing off and may start to tip over if not supported.
Right now I have two plants and a plant light in my fireplace, but I want to change it to a home for my ever increasing succulent collection. Not sure of the best way to do that because I know succulents are going to need more light. Any suggestions on the best way to go?

My little Kebab Bush, his name is Trevor, is struggling 😢 He’s supposed to look more like the 2nd picture. He now resides in the west facing window where he gets lots of afternoon sun and I’ve increased his watering to once a week because of the reflection. He seems to be doing MUCH better than he was but still wondering if anyone has any suggestions? He’s not supposed to be all spread out like that (eventually anyway)🤷🏽♀️
I inherited this poor little guy from someone in my office. He looks quite sad. Maybe overwatered? Any suggestions on how to help him? His leaves are very fragile and soft. I am extremely new to growing plants in general (reformed black thumb!).

Jade question! What can I do to improve this? It is a rescue that was super leggy. I repotted and pruned heavily in the spring. I'm VERY pleased with how much new growth has appeared, and overall there's been a lot of improvement! BUT, these bigger leaves just don't look very happy. I can't tell if they're truly drooping or just trying to angle themselves toward the window? But they look like they are moping. Am I worrying too much or is there something I can try to perk them up? I'm trying not to overwater, but it is entirely possible that I still haven't gotten the hang of it.

my very first props, from january to may to now! not sure what they are, but i took the leaves from a 2-3' tall succ with red leaves and a chartreuse stem at a rooftop bar lol. they look nothing like their mother so far 😂
