Hey!! I have been recently wanting to get a cactus of some sort however I have many animals including cats and dogs. Does anybody know any types of cacti that are okay to be around them? Also, where is a good place to get them? I might try lowes’ garden area but I don’t know. Comment your suggestions please! I need them ASAP.

Can anyone help me identify this baby succulent?
I remember a plant with the word “moon” in its name and it looks similar to this one I think, any ideas?

I have had this spearhead plant for about five years at least. It’s always been fine but now it’s doing this. Haven’t changed anything, not it’s watering or light. Anyone have a clue what’s going on with it?

Look at this succulent bowl I made!
It’s my first one ever, I think I did nicely!

Just started my plant journey with pink & yellow dragon fruit seeds. Any suggestions?

Hello, hopefully someone can help me identify this succulent so I can figure out how to save it. The app is suggesting a jade succulent but the leaves are not round. Please help 🙏🏻

I have run out of sunny windows! Seriously. Not a one left. Lol. Can cactus/succulents grow under grow lights well?

I’d like to find some succulents to plant in a group in this pot and keep on the kitchen island. The room has several large west facing windows but the island is about 12 feet from the windows. Any recommendations?

Anybody know the name?
I think it’s a type of Mammillaria…
The flower died immediately when I brought it home. Not sure if I’m giving it what it needs.

Looking for some advice with the Burro’s tail. Got the leaves in the fall to propagate, and this is how much growth I have several months later. I had tried keeping a couple of them in water to stimulate more root growth a couple months ago, but that did nothing (other than kill one) and now have repotted them into gravel about a week ago. Hoping this will help but if anyone has other suggestions please let me know, I really want these plants to work 😭

Stuck trying to figure out what plant this is. Pictures keep saying it’s Jade, but it grows VERY quickly and just doesn’t look much like the pictures? Got it from Costco, and once I put it into its own pot, it started growing like crazy with new leaves coming through every week.

Hi everyone. Can someone please tell me what is ailing my little succulent? It has spots all over the leaves. Thanks in advance!

This is the type of plant that makes me think “get a better camera” before posting. I’m so proud of this one and its progress from the plastic IKEA 3-pack container last year. This is mostly all from indoor window east window sill and grow lights. In fact, it responded rapidly under a few purple/blue LED panels (the $15 variety).
Cheers.

Guys, I had the worst time with growing succulents outside in Florida and am deciding to grow them indoors. I had them out in the open for sun and they got sunburnt. The daily flash flooding gave most of them root rot. I moved them out of full sun and under my roof ledge so they could dry out but the damage was already done. I had to dig them up and ended up propagating them all. It was a disaster.
Here was my beautiful succulent garden before 😢:

Found this little beauty broken off from its main parent. Had roots and all. I believe it’s an aeonium? But what kind? Kiwi, variegata, pink witch, mascaense, sweet tea?
Hot hot hot
Who has one of these? Full sun doesn’t mean full sun in Arizona in July.

Cactus growing pretty fast. Should I repot in a larger one?

After randomly spamming a Copiapoa expert yesterday, I’m ready to get some hot hot heat on this Cinerea (right) and what I believe is Copiapoa bridgesii. There is a lot of (surprise) mixed info on Copiapoa, and the intimidation factor for me is the mention of coastal conditions (western South American coast starting around Chile) and morning fog. Have you added “recreate a foggy morning” to your plant notes?
Note that asking about fog made that expert call on another expert to answer. The bottom line was “yeah, they light it bright.” Here we go.
I also said no more plants for a while, but a local shop had an anniversary event, and Copiapoa is an exception I’ve made. They are the only place I’ve found for Copiapoa, and I was saying a silent prayer as I drove across town on lunch. The shop also has no idea how boutique these guys are, and I ended up answering the clerk’s questions.
