My plant has always grown straight up but now it leans outward (mostly to one side even though I rotate it every day). Is this a normal growth pattern for zz plants? The 2 large shoots in the center are new growth and the leaning started once they began to unfurl leaves. The plant is by a window facing a porch so it does not get much direct sunlight. Another detail I noticed is that the rhizomes are starting to become exposed. Otherwise the leaves look healthy and glossy. Grew up in a family of notorious black thumbs, so any insight is appreciated!

Helloo! I’m new to succulents. Does anyone know what’s going on, why do the leaves have cuts? The parts that cut off are missing and no where to be found. It’s a fairly new plant and looked healthy when i bought it about a month ago. Makes me wonder if there is a bird that likes eating the leaves or something. Thanks c:

Several ready to bloom. I’ve been waiting weeks for the buds to open. It takes so long and lasts for such a short time.

Update: I found out it’s called: Aeonium Lindleyi Var. viscatum 'Irish Bouquet' Hello everyone! I was wondering if someone could tell me what plant/ succulent this guy is? I received it in a succulent arrangement and attempting to propagate it. The camera IDs keep giving me the wrong plant so I’m trying my luck on here! Much appreciated.

Hello all 👋🏼 I was just wondering how would you propagate this leggy crassula (?) Look at all the roots on it! I also understand that they like to be pot bound.

There was a plant drop at Mountain Crest. By the time I added two Copiapoa humilis to my cart and finished a quick work conversation, I saw the website counter drop to “only 3 left.” I got my two! Per the Dkakti folks - the Copiapoa lords - it’s lots of sun and a screen to keep from scorching (but also a few other nerve-wracking things to recreate their foggy desert conditions). So here’s my quick and dirty version to get maybe a month of 80 degrees and power via diffusion of the frequent window reflections across the way. Picture me running up the stairs and recounting all this. If you wanna know, that screen reduces the foot-candle reading about 30% (around 7500 to 5000ish). And ps “One foot-candle is defined as enough light to saturate a one-foot square with one lumen of light.”

Hello everyone, I got my three mixed Echeverias at the same time (around two months ago) and they were doing great. The middle one started blooming right after I got them and since then it started losing every leaf under the blooms. Are they trying to kill my plant? Should I cut them off and let the plant recover? They’re not overwatered, as you can see the other two are thriving! Any suggestions will be of great help! Thank you!

2 years apart and 2+ feet taller with branches taller than the original plant. Easily in the top three of my favorite plants in my collection.

Hiiii! First of all, doesn’t this plant look like it would be on an episode of Stranger Things ?!?! Second, I am trying to find out what type of succulent this is, but Planta keeps just telling me it’s a variety of a Zebra plant. I don’t think it’s quite that. Do any of y’all know what it is ?

hey planta friends 👋🏼 I’m not very experienced with aloe at ALL, I’ve had this baby for a month or two now. There’s lots of new growth & babies growing in, but the more mature leaves are looking brown and kinda sad. Any suggestions? 😩
