Does anyone know what kind of plant this is?
So glad to finally use this pot, but if anyone has any suggestions if I should adjust anything đ«¶đ» I think itâs looking pretty good
I have these two jewel succulents and the pedals just keep falling off daily is that normal? The big one on my kitchen island is almost bare, what do I do?
2 Gymnocalyciums flowering. Third one has a bud.
Hereâs an appreciation post for my new stapelia! It was $5 at my farmers market. I had no clue it would be fuzzy đ his name is Mushu
I got a few new plants today and theyâre super funky :)
Anyone have any advice for my too healthy string of bananas? đ I love how long itâs grown but itâs getting heavy and Iâm worried the stem will break! Iâve snipped off one branch to propagate in the same pot (so far seems healthy), but thereâs just so many of them! Should it be pruned a bit or are they strong enough to hold all this?? Itâs usually hanging, just laid out to show all the branches, and it was just watered.
Anyone a String of Turtles expert? In the summer it wasnât putting out leaves like this. Really it seemed like it wasnât growing much at all. I had it out in a hot sunny porch. Now itâs inside and has had part sun. I canât tell if these new little leaves are good or bad because they are so tiny. Will they grow bigger?
I was so nervous about having a String of Hearts but so far so goodâŠ
Show me your goofy looking succulents! Hereâs mine đ
Iâm so SAD!! I thought this velociraptor aloe was perfectly healthy and wanted to put in another pot⊠went to remove it from soil and discovered severe root rot! đ any tips on saving it are so appreciated!
I brought this succulent a few months ago but Iâm having trouble identifying it if anyone can help Iâd be most grateful
I had a little consultation with a âbloggerâ (sucsforyou, but she is a lot more than a rando internet source) about my grow lights, specifically the ones that give off heat. It was as easy as âuse your fan, hang your light higher.â Somehow, that inspired me to pull trigger on an Echinocactus/Kroenleinia grusonii. Itâs obvs not a huge find, as these make up about 20% of the Home Depot plastic flower and googly eyes plants. Iâve just waited to have the right pot (thrifted) and hear one of them yell at me from the shelf. Pictured also is whatâs growing in the back of the shop (Cactus and Tropicals in SLC, Utah). That pot holder did not save me, and I took that photo quickly so I could dislodge the plant from my hand.
I got this Sansevaria (i have NO idea if thatâs spelt right Lol!) a couple months back. I only recently got the supplies to make soil mixes myself- bag of potting sand, orchid bark, perlite- and decided to do a soil swap on this boy as the soil was staying wet for so long and i was starting to worry it would develop root rot. Whilst swapping the soil, i made a spontaneous decision to separate these two plants! they looked too all-over-the-place together, and i think iâll enjoy the look of them much more now that they are separated. The plant in the terracotta pot may be a little too big for the small size pot, but it was the only one i had on standby, so iâll consider it a sort of experiment! the leaves werenât in good condition when i bought the plant, but the new little baby leaves seem mostly happy to me so far:)
Hi, my string of hearts still isn't doing well, it's barely surviving not thriving like a lot of the other photos I see and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.
Iâm trying succulents again⊠Iâm finally doing better! Hereâs my favorite, the Panda Plant! And the mother of thousands! And I bought these small ones because they are called âFairy Fartsâ any help is appreciated!! đŠđđȘŽđŠđïžđ”
Christmas Carol Aloe is putting out a nice bloom.
Does anyone know what type of plant this is?
It bloomed!!! starfish cactus already attracting flies, so cool!!
The red spines protruding over the rim like fingernails kill me. I have Halloween on the brain, and this scene gives me âskeletonâs hand appears, jump scare, more fingers reach out, skeleton crawls out of graveâ vibes. Dusty has lived in a sunny window since day one. Flowers started around day three. Itâs such a sweet plant I mistook for Copiapoa (insert vague species name here). It took a lot of digging (no pun) to identify. As I was doing so - and every time I dive into identification - all I could think was âevolution is nutsâ when imagining how the few things separating the species is driven by which crappy environment a bat or the wind etc. drops their seeds. Not a deep thought, just another âwowâ over succulents.
