Hi everyone! I am a fairly new plant beginner and I just picked up a “Flaming Katy” from the store and would love some recommendations on how to best take care of this succulent? If anyone has any watering, space/location and lighting suggestions- I would very much appreciate it! Also, there is one leaf that looks like it is kind of dying. Not exactly sure on how to revive. Thanks so much :)

Found tucked in the back under the shelf at a Home Depot. It’s not the Holy Grail of Parodia, but it sure is cool. He’s heavy, like a fat tomato, and the flowers are brilliant (image for reference).

Hi everyone! Idk what’s wrong with my thread agave!? I looked at it this morning and most of it was droopy and soft. I water it when it’s dry and it’s under a purple plant light. Any suggestions?

It’s been a gnarly couple weeks of addressing the fact that a cactus I bought in the summer brought Scale to my house. Okay, I (unknowingly) brought Scale to my house. I’m out of the honeymoon phase with these plants. In my defense, I have 99ish plants, and at least 60 have white wool haha. But now, after reading so much about Scale, every white spot on a plant gives me pause. I’ve scrubbed and doused and added various anti-bug things, quarantined and sacrificed a few. So it’s nice when one of these things tells you, “Hey, man. I’m fine with cooling off during a couple cloudy days. I brought you flowers.”

My rickrack has bloomed. I know flower only lasts one night so caught first one early this morning. Deleted the old flower and just added the newest flower which I caught this evening so very fresh. The fragrance is so amazing and it’s huge. Wow!

It’s my first winter with my plants here in Central Texas. All of my cacti and succulents have been outside this whole time in pots. At what point do I need to cover them or bring them inside? It gets down to the low 40s at night and has been kind of rainy recently.

Just made this! So proud of it. Does anyone know what succulents are in here? I know the one in the back is an Elephant Bush, but that’s it.

This is my aloe Vera plant. She was dying because of root rot but then I had an idea to put her in a cup with no soil just water and she grew back. And know she doing amazing!
