5 Chainz - soon to be 6 Chainz - is a plant that called to me from out of a corner at a local seller’s house. However, it seemed too tall, and I had way too much tall. I changed my mind a few months later when the same seller resurfaced (I have her number now, so no more wondering if I should mail her a letter of cactus inquiry). The simplicity of “design” in these stacking type Opuntia kills me. There are no frills, just understated beauty a simple mission. I’m always under the impression that plants are teaching me to slow down. 5 Chainz says, “One link at a time.”

Can someone please help me identify what type of cactus this is specifically? Purchased from Home Depot, others were blooming little reddish flowers on the crown. Planta app is not helping.
