I could use some advice!! My sister got this cactus a few years ago and she has been able to keep it alive but gave it to me to care for since it’s in pretty poor condition. Fairly certain it’s a Peruvian old lady, it did come with 3 fake flowers hot glued to it, and it’s slowly falling apart. Can I take the piece that fell off and propagate it? Can I save it? It looks like it’s been overwatered and underwatered repeatedly. It’s down to one stem at this point and I don’t want it to die! Help would be appreciated!!

I am so excited! After almost a year of my split rock being exactly the same with no sign of any growth, it is doing something! Maybe about to bloom…who knows?!

I just purchased a bunch of small bare root cacti. I have potted them all up into Jacks Gritty Mix with some regular potting soil mixed in. They all look fine. Not dehydrated. How long do I wait to water them?

As of yesterday, Aloe1 is thriving, with a new baby sprig! Aloe2 not so hot, leaves are shriveled. Not sure how to fix it. But I transplanted them together in one terra-cotta pot, with a drainage hole, brand new soil, Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix for Cactus and Succulent, Fast-Draining Formula. Someone please tell me this is going to help. I just want them healthy again! They have not took the move well. They are back inside, because Louisiana is not done with the cold. Also I believe they are 2 different types of Aloe! I’m just not sure what?

Does anyone here live around the St. Louis area? I bought this curio cabinet last fall for $20, it was missingthe glass shelves so i made them. I added awesome grow lights ($25) and 2 ventilation fans ($15). Its been painted black with gold knobs and I added LOTS of air holes. Its not purposed for humidity so really only succulents are cacti are suitable for it. I dont have room for it anymore because my brother moved into our basement. I haven't posted it anywhere else because I would prefer a plant lover own it because I worked hard on it. Is this something anyone would be interested in?

Was gifted this Christmas Cactus from my cousin when my father passed over 5 years ago. It was so thick and lush for the first while. Bad care led to stalks dying. Now I’m left with what you see. It has grown some from what it was. Any advice on getting back to full size?

Is it normal for queen of the nights to grow their leaves this thin do they normally start thickening out or am I missing something to help their growth? I bought this at Walmart this past fall just before winter and it had a tag that read fern and was marked to five dollars. ( I knew it was a cactus and had to take it home ). All the long thick leaves are original all the new thinner growth is since it has been here since I believe the end of October.

Found these little guys at Walmart today!

Medusa’s Head got a new planter today so her foliage can cascade down. I used a plastic pot to insert into the metal pot, hoping it won’t rust.

Hi all - first time I’ve successfully propagated baby Echeveria (yaay). Turns out they just needed neglect and time. Ok so what comes next? Will they root into the soil if I just leave them sitting on top, or will I eventually need to plant them proper?
