Desert Rose help! I got this plant last summer, and replanted it a few weeks ago from a plastic pot to this terracotta one roughly the same size (very well draining cactus mix). Watered it about 10 days ago and made some cuts to promote branching. However, the base of the stem is still slightly soft. It sometimes gets like this when it needs water, but I know it’s also a potential sign of overwatering. Any advice on trunk maintenance/saving and maintaining this adenium?

Can anyone identify this plant? I was given it as a gift and there was nothing identifying it. Planta is telling me it’s a jade but I know that it is not. Reminds me of Portulaca or something similar.

trying my best🌱

hi, so i got this aloe plant a little over a year ago and i feel like no matter what i do she will not grow. i can never get more than just a few arms before something happens and they get removed, plus i noticed recently she has no roots. for reference: she only gets water every 21ish days, IF the soil is dry (one of the arm looks a little dry so we may be slightly overdue). currently living in bright indirect light, but lately since it’s been nice i’ve been putting her outside in the sun for a few hours a day (she was attacked by my roommates dog which is why we have a broken arm). the pot is about 4.5” in diameter and has rocks and a hole for drainage. aside from maybe getting a smaller pot, is there anything else i should be doing? when she was thriving, it was on neglect so i’m assuming it’ll take time, but i want to make sure im doing things right so i don’t end back up at square one also please excuse the forceps, i didn’t have anything else to support her. and please be nice or ill cry.

Help! My sting of tears is dying. I have it in front of my window which gets a lot of sun. I water it when the app tells me too. I don’t know what to do,

Hi all - I’m stumped on this one and looking for ideas/advice. TIA!! I have a few succulents in my corporate office space because I work from home a lot. First time in the office in 12-14 days and these two looked awful! They are about a foot or less away from a floor to ceiling west facing window. I watered before I left last because I knew I’d be gone awhile. The aloe was moved here from my home the last time I was there (12-14 days ago) - was super green when I moved it and today was brownish and sad. The jade is yellowing for IDK why, but I moved it to that sunnier location 3-4 weeks ago. I did notice there’s a vent right below them so I moved them to my desk which is still very well lit, but away from vents. Any other ideas? I’m not super great at succulents, but these two had been doing so well and I’d hate to lose them.

I just received this as a plant to go in a small pot I bought. I know very little about cacti, but am trying to increase my knowledge, as I find them fascinating. This is only the second cactus I have purchased. The other is a “hairy old man”😊 I’d really appreciate an ID and anything else you’d like to add specific to care. Thanks. Beth

Planta identifies this plant as a Zebra Haw.. “Enon”, while online it is identified as a miniature Aloe Plant. Thoughts? Also, is it time to repot? Not sure how long the roots are but I had to transplant to this pot due to very short roots and plant was becoming dehydrated. It is now healthy - leaves (?) have plumped up. Plant is 6” high from top of pot and 6” width. Pot is 4”. Still growing!

Double checking bc I was given this has a free earth day from the office. Did I identify it correctly?

Orchid cactus getting ready to bloom! I’ve had this plant for a number of years and this is the first time it has ever came close to blooming. Will post more when she opens up!

Thinking about breaking down and potting chunks separately… worried about killing it but I feel like it needs more space to grow! Any any advice would be much appreciated!

Postmortem plant question here: had this little pincushion cactus for several years before recently it shriveled up into a tiny ball of spikes. After about a month I finally accepted that it had died, and decided to clear out the pot. When I went to uproot it, the spike ball popped off and I got a good look at the inside. It look like it had been hollowed out and filled with sand? The substance was a little clumpy, and kind of reminded me of an anthill— I wish I got a photo. Not sure if that’s normal, or if I accidentally subjected my cactus son to some unknown horrors. Anyone know what that was?

Can anyone help me ID this cactus? It’s coming up as Gold Lace Cactus but I don’t think this grows into “fingers” like that type, rather the clusters of round bulbs is how it grows. I could be wrong but I was certain its name was something I didn’t already have (and I do have a ladyfingers cactus).

These were knocked off the mother plant—now that they are established there are roots growing off the sides. I know this is normal, but do I need to do anything with it-or just treat the plant as normal?
