The first two pics are when I first got these succulents and the pics after are now. Is this growth or them stretching? I’ve never had succulents grow so fast if it’s growth.

Hi all! A few questions about my succulent: 1. Does anyone know what it is? I’ve had for about a year now and I’m still not sure! 2. I chopped off the top a couple months ago because I had it under a grow light which caused it to get lanky, and now it’s had new growth over there, I’m just not sure what I should do with it? 3.I plucked out a couple drying leaves at the bottom most layer just before taking these pictures, will the bottom layer continue to die out as the top continues to grow? 4. It’s very easy for me to pull the plant and its ball of dirt out of the soil, I have to be super careful not to whenever I’m plucking out dead leaves. So this tells me it still hasn’t rooted itself properly into the soil. I last repotted it 6 months ago or so. Is this cause for concern?

So I have a Christmas cactus and ever since I’ve had it it has been pretty brown and had like one flower on it. Anybody know what I’m doing wrong or can you give me tips on how to take care of it?

I rescued this plant recently, it was just growing without any care it seems. I only have a tiny burros tail that I took from a cutting, it constantly sheds. This guy didn’t lose many in the drive, it was that bare when I found it. What’s the best way to go about this? Can I root the stems once I give this guy a good haircut? Should I cut only a few now and then again in a couple weeks? Do I have to cut high up? Slightly attached to this guy for sentimental reasons or id wing it. I just see so many beautiful ones and want to make sure I get it looking good.

Can anyone tell me why my haworthia keeps losing leaves? I have her in well-draining succulent soil and only water when it’s dry to the bottom. It seems she loses one leaf every two weeks; they just shrivel and die. I just checked her roots and they are healthy. Does she need a smaller container? Is she sensitive to drafts?? I really want her to thrive and would appreciate any help!

I’m slowly attempting to fill in the evolutionary breadth of the S. Africa “splitting” plants. My mind continues to remain blown as I scan through the subtleties of all these leaves. And then I set them next to Mexican Echeveria and, armed with only street science, spout off about a leaf traveling across oceans to create a culture. I’ll talk more about the Karoo Rose at a later date - it is the reason for this accidental plant binge.
