I’m so new to Succulents. I need all the tips I can get! Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I feel like they’re just dying instead of trying to grow little baby plants. This is a picture from a few days ago. I watered the dirt a little yesterday because it was completely dried out. Is that what I’m supposed to do? -Ok, Last question šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø What’s the best way to grow Succulents?

Plant has some new growth in the center, but the outer leaves have always drooped and sometimes brown. I recently moved it away from direct light to help. Wondering if I should repot now that I have perlite, or if it's doing okay—or should I just cut the lower leaves? Open to tips or advice! Got it in Miracle Gro Cactus, Citrus, and Palm potting mix.

Worried about the look of your wrinkled succulents? Find a habitat shot of your plants and compare. I slowed my worry roll after seeing the desiccation on these two.

Can anyone tell me what might be the issues with my Christmas cactus? It’s not on all of the leaves, just some and mainly on the ends, none towards the middle. They are like little divots or something, not raised and can’t scrape off. I do not see any evidence of pests. Potted in an unglazed terra cotta pot with cactus soil and perlite. Any help is appreciated!

just a quick question for my peeps with aloe vera:) i harvest the leaves for aloe and now fear that she may be getting a little top heavy without her lower leaves. the next time i repot her, should i bury her deeper? or would that make her rot?

Hi everyone! I have this elephant bush that has been doing well and slowly growing. I’ve followed the Planta care schedule. But today I noticed a lot of leaves dropped. I know plants will drop leaves to make room for new ones. Is this the case? The roots don’t seem to be growing out the bottom so I don’t think it needs more room and repotted. But Google said dropped leaves may be due to over watering 😬🫣 any ideas? Is this ok? Anything I should do? TIA!

These 2 have changed ALOT in the week or so I've had them, bl the picture on the left where they're both in it is what they look like today and the individual pictures is what they look like when I purchase them recently. The Crispate beauty isn't even the same color or shape anymore IDK what happens but obviously has to do with light they get a ton of light in this south facing window but the Mystic/Misty lilac was flat when I got it and it perked up but the Crispate beauty isn't even the same color tho šŸ„“šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Should I take her out and trim off the ones that are browning? Or just leave her be? She does have healthy ones coming out the middle

Please help! My succulent has taken a turn for the worse and I’m not sure how to save it. The photo on the right was when I got it, and the left is today. It gets decent lighting and I last watered it 18 days ago. It has been popping out new leaves as well so I thought it was fine. The only thing that has changed is the fact that our weather has recently gone from 70’s to 100° the last couple days, and we don’t have central air. Please tell me what to do, this plant was a gift and it’s very important to me.

When I got them it had this hole. What is it and what can I do? (It looks like it has white mold inside šŸ˜”)

I have an idea of a few of these, but the plant identifier is giving me vague ideas. Specific identifications would be lovely please!

Does anyone ever pick/prune the lower leaves of their paddle plant if they’re touching the soil?

What am I doing wrong?! I’m not going to pretend I know what I’m doing — I bought this with little hope, a lot of delusion, and a tiny dream, and I’m actually stunned it’s lived for the month or so that it has — it even outgrew its original pot! However, it looks…confused. I am also confused! I see drooping, stretching(?), some ā€œliftingā€ that looks healthy, and even some new growth in the center, but those lower leaves do not seem like they’re happy and I don’t know how to help. I sized up only 1ā€ in pots, because it was truly overwhelming the pot it was in and I only had a 3.5ā€ terra cotta pot available that I felt comfortable using. I’m using a full spectrum grow light 10-14 hours a day because the natural light from my east-facing window is so unreliable I don’t count it at all. I’ve been gradually increasing the power of the grow light until midday and then gradually decreasing the light again after a few hours of ā€œfull afternoon sunā€ until evening. Basically, I’m trying to mimic the natural sun. I feel like a lunatic, but I am bent on keeping this thing alive and thriving. I’m wondering if a second grow light (this is a small desk clip-on version because it serves only one 2.5ā€ echeveria) would be helpful for more 360° lighting, although the plant is rotated throughout the day. I am avoiding watering more than once a week — less, ideally. I am aiming for completely dry soil before watering, and the last watering was 12 hours after repotting (just under one week ago) to hopefully encourage root growth. The original soil was left intact during repotting, with small rocks and a small amount of succulent soil added, so it didn’t require a full watering, but it felt right after transferring to a new pot. I have not watered it since then, and will wait until the soil is dry. All leaves except the absolute lowest (can’t feel those, won’t hurt the plant to try to manipulate them) are plump and firm, with some reaching toward the ā€œsun,ā€ others lying more flat (presumably in need of more light?) and a few leaves neither stretching nor reaching, that appear to be the healthiest. The photos below are not showing the plant as it would be directly under the grow light — it is incredibly difficult to get a photo under the light without a shadow that obscures the issues. I apologize if this makes any assistance more difficult, but I am open to a second grow light if light seems to be the immediate issue. ANY and all advice is greatly appreciated and welcomed! I have NO idea what I’m doing! Edit: all of the advice I’ve gotten has been so reassuring and kind. Thank you! Also, it’s totally a sempervivum! Sorry for mislabeling this! I’m changing the plant on my profile but any use of ā€œecheveriaā€ here can be replaced with ā€œsempervivum.ā€ :)
