I rescued this gal late last winter from a pizza shop that closed (literally asked the demolition guys if I could “just go save the plant” and they let me! 😂). Today she’s giving her first blooms. I’m so proud of her!

Meet my Old Man of the Andes Cactus, Orville. He was really pokey. I did repot him yesterday, it was a challenge lol.

Does anyone know anything about these bunny ear cacti? Every time I go near it without even touching the thorns I break out in a painful itchy rash. Poor thing only gets watered in the window because I won't go near it. I have at least 30 other cacti and have no problems with any of them. Ever heard of anything like that?

Question: I just picked up a Stapelia hirsuta, and I want to get it to bloom in the summer/fall. It’s relatively small right now, but is there anything I could do to improve its bloom chances? Any specific lighting/watering?

im fairly new to cacti / succulents but i got these for free yesterday how do i plant them, do i plant them with the brown bottom?? is that root rot? do i cut it off and let them all prop? help😔

This poor gymno is sick. it's collapsed in on itself. does not seem to be fungus. Has not grown any roots. I don't think it is dead yet but i don't have much hope.

I rescued this false Christmas Cactus from a relative who passed. I think she has experienced some underwatering and neglect because her root ball was very tiny with stringier roots. I cut off a decent amount of growth (not seen in photo) and repotted her into a soil mix with a high pearlite content. She is in indirect light where my thanksgiving cactus is thriving. Anything else you recommend? Do you think she is viable?

Is she okay? I’ve never had succulents before, this is my first one. I thought all of this growth was good but planta said she looked sick, wouldn’t tell me what was wrong unless I bought the subscription though….

I woke up and found these two newbies popping out from the center! 🤩 Flowers or babies? Also- I know it’s “normal” for petals (?) to fall off, and mine have done that from the bottom over time. Is the dry straw-like stuff ok? Thanks!

I just bought this a couple of weeks ago and there's already three new flower branches. Love this plant!

Any ideas about how to help my plant? For a little background, I moved two months ago and this one gradually started dropping shriveled lower leaves. Last week, the middle part of the stem weakened and broke. I’ve pruned this plant before so I cut above the break, let the cut scab for two days, then started misting with water. The shriveling on the stem just keeps spreading and two more leaves have fallen. I’ve never seen anything like this before. What’s causing it? And is there anything I can do?

Does anyone know about white Stenocereus Beneckei? I've seen them in green and white and I'm not sure if they start green and then turn white or come in two colors.
