Can anyone help me ID this cactus? It’s coming up as Gold Lace Cactus but I don’t think this grows into “fingers” like that type, rather the clusters of round bulbs is how it grows. I could be wrong but I was certain its name was something I didn’t already have (and I do have a ladyfingers cactus).

These were knocked off the mother plant—now that they are established there are roots growing off the sides. I know this is normal, but do I need to do anything with it-or just treat the plant as normal?

What is happening to my cactus? And what should I do?

So my Shrek ears are in a 4-inch pot they are 7 in tall and I think about 8 in wide and it feels like I should transplant it to a bigger pot I can't tell because of the kind of pot it's in if the roots are coming out the bottom or not and it seems super happy so I don't want to upset it either so any thoughts? 🤷♀️🙏🪴💛 I have a million plant questions today

Fiancé and I are loving this app. We used the diagnosed feature and discovered we overwatered the poor thing but it’s still pretty. It’s hanging on lol

I saw the plant in the white pot last month at a local nursery. The price was $129, and I passed because that is $100 more than I've paid for any plant; part of the fun of plants for me is the challenge of waiting and seeking. I picked this new one up last night after a day of debating because it's so much plant. To manage, I'm going to split it across 2-4 pots. Wishlist item complete for $29. Yeah, Home Depot.

I bought this cactus today, it's labeled as Torch cactus, trichocereus grandiflorus. Planta didn't have that species in the database. Made me wonder if the big box nursery mislabeled it? What do you all think?

New to the cactus world and I just got this one today. I was told it’s a Starfish cactus but Google says it’s a drooping prickly pear. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I was afraid the mother plant would die so here is my first Echeveria propagation. Actually my first propagation of a plant ever.

Not sure if this makes me a “good or bad” caretaker 🤣. But wanted to share cause I think this is fascinating. So as the weather heated up and the sun got brighter I guess, I noticed this plant (fairy washboard I believe) and also another one with not as good of pics (Haworthiopsis venosa) got sunburned. Or maybe this was happening for a bit and it finally dawned on me it’s sun burn. But what I want to share is that I moved them out on Sunday. So 4 days later and they are already greening up. It was really cool to watch the transition. And for the fairy washboard it just happened super fast. One day it was that red brown color and the next day, green. It also looks more plump and healthy. I’m not really clear on if sun burn is bad for all succulents I’ve heard some don’t mind it. But this plant definitely looks healthier with a few days out of direct sun. 😅

I have a lot of succulents but have trouble knowing when to water these two. One is a euphorbia cristata and the other is a fairy castle cactus. With most succulents you can tell by touch or feel when to water but these I need to tell by looking. I try to be aware of how plump they are or not, but still not sure how far to let them go. Does anyone have some suggestions knowing when these guys need to be watered. I use Planta of course but use it as a guide only.

a while back more poor cactus turned all brown i was watering it everyday (i learned from my mistakes) and i believe i drowned it, it has this brown colour but has become more green over time, which seemed odd to me, those flowers growing from the top have definitely grown in the last few weeks, is it possible for it to regenerate or was it just not quite dead in the first place? ill have a picture now and when it was its healthiest, this is my first cactus so any help or advice is greatly appreciated
