I had this big boy for a year and it’s getting so big, is this the right kind of pot
My echeveria is getting all spindly! Can anyone iD what it is? It’s in an E/SEfacing window so not sure how to give it more light!!
This succulent has been in this pot for a while and grown just fine until recently, new leaves have thisbrown/black spots that almost looks like scars/scabs. Any ideas? Solutions? Appreciate everyone’s input!
Progress on my Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus!
What’s is everyone’s favorite type of soil for cactus/succulents? I use the “Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm and Citrus 8-Quart Cactus Potting Soil Mix” from Lowe’s but I feel like I need something chunkier.
Does anyone know specifically what type of aloe this is? It does not get any white spots (like I see with what I consider “typical” aloe vera or very tall), does not get much taller than the second photo. Planta, Seek, and Picture This all just say “Aloe Vera”. Thanks everyone!
There’s something wrong with my succulent. She keeps losing leaves from the bottom; they may completely dry up, and some of them may turn light green/yellow as seen in the picture. I have made sure not to overwater, so otherwise I don’t know what’s wrong. Should I move her away from the window? Maybe it’s because there’s a radiator underneath the window and the heat is affecting her? I just can’t seem to keep succulents alive and healthy. Please help :(
Hey! I accidentally broke some leaves from one of my succulents and I left the leaves on my window sill and they grew these root looking things. Are they roots? Ariel roots? They’re pink so I am unsure. Can I plant them?
What soil do you all use for cactus and succulents. Can I just use potting soil and perlite?
Does anyone have little tips for a new succulent owner? I’ve been caring for cacti for a while now, but never succulents. They are all outdoor.
Just bought this cutie at my local flower shop today! It was too pretty not to get. But I’m curious, do you guys know what kind of Peperomia’s this is? Also the florist recommend I leave a dish under neath it with a bit of water on it at all times. According to them, that’s what this plant seems to like the most. Is this a good idea?
Any suggestions on what to do with these guys? I grouped them together because they’re showing similar issues. The bottom leaves are shriveling up and dropping off. The big one is a cotyledon, the two smaller are kolanchoes, and the last one is a molekenisis (I think). I’m not normally a great succulent owner, so I’ve been following planta’s advice. Most of my other succulents are doing fine, but these ones are struggling. Any help appreciated!
I’m going to go research best way to pot up 5 starter Schlumbergera plants 😬 I just gently placed them all together in this succulent pot 6” shallow exterior glazed clay pot with drainage. Now I’m afraid that probably won’t work because it is 5 plants & they get really big. I didn’t get any tags & it was growers choice but all holiday cactus 🌵 🎄 Wish me luck 🍀 😁 I really need to stay off Etsy for a while 😎
My Optunia microdasys rufida cactus is doing great. It gets east sun and is directly by the window. I had some pieces that broke off whole when I was moving the pot to water it. I decided to let them callous and stick them into new pots in cactus (fast drying) soil. From this point I’m a bit lost. I don’t know if I should pull them up and check for root growth or ignore them? It’s hard to keep them in upright position, anchored in dirt with this type of cactus until they are established. How long and how often should I water the new starts? I don’t want them to rot, but I don’t want to kill them. Should I fertilize in the Spring and with what? Lots of questions. The main plant is doing great, but I’m not as confident about getting the propagations going strong. Thank you in advance!
I’ve finally grasped the secret to growing these succulents. Ignore! lol
Can anybody help me ID what type of Echeveria these are?
My adorable Cactus, Nemo!
Orbea starfish flowered for the first time for me. Smells like rotting meat if you put your nose up to it. Made me feel queasy for a minute 🤢
Hi y’all! Does anyone know what this little white spot is on my Panda Plant? Iirc it showed up a while after I had gotten a little water on him but it’s starting to eat away his leaf a little so I’m kinda worried. How do I get rid of it?
I’m so happy with the growth of my string of pearls. It started out in this tiny teacup at a flower shop and now it’s thriving in its coffee mug. Once spring hits I’m going to transfer it over to a bigger pot with proper drainage. ❤️
