Strange. I had used some store bought succulent mix soil and it has so much bark in it that it was laying in the soil sideways blocking water flow. I discovered when I tried to bottom water a few plants and they would not drink. Glad I changed every pot this weekend.

I had to change everybody’s soil today because gnats were making me nuts and apparently they were in the soil that I bought.. so, while repotting snake man here, I noticed one mushy root and grabbed a terracotta pot ( same size as his nursery pot ) but not sure why he was more compact and straight before.. now he’s all fanned out. I did use a super airy soil mix that I made but wonder if it’ll matter that he’s all spread out. :)

This fell off my sting of bananas in transport! Any tips for propagating it? I’ve never done that with this plant

Hiya. This was another two-week process of labor and delivery. I’m still big-eyed over it all.
The crinkly flower pic was the actual birth; closed up and white poking out was that evening. Big bloom was an hour ago.
And you know what? That flower smells like a combo butterscotch and popcorn jelly bellies. I’ll try again after I brush my teeth, but yo. Magic.

Hello! :) I’m very new to the plant world, and I’m trying to learn how to best care for my succulents! My boyfriend and I got these as favors from a friend’s wedding and I would like to repot them, and identify what kind of succulents they are! The smaller one is looking pretty healthy, but the pot with multiple shoots has some dead leaves… Any advice is greatly appreciated! 🫶🏻

Had this cute pug pot for a really long time and I finally decided to get a plant to put in it! Meet my Ghost Echeveria, who I hope will live a long and happy life. I’ll have to transplant her again soon, but I might as well do something with this old pot. Plus, the colors and shapes totally compliment each other and really set the aesthetic!

hi yall!! does anyone have advice on pruning kalanchoes to encourage branching and help them be bushier?? i've noticed on some of my older plants that they don't actually grow back two branches where i cut one, they only grow back one which is really defeating the purpose of my trimming!

Help!
My Purple Pearl looks a lot darker than when I got it. This is my first plant I was wondering if I should do anything different or it’s just part of it’s growth. I repotted about a month ago and water it once a week. (Left is when I got it, Right was taken a day ago)

I want this species of crassula ovata. I have another kind of jade that is a tree, 12 years old and I love it but it never gets this color. This photo I took in a nursery and while they knew it was some kind of crassula ovata, they did not know specifics. Does anybody know? It is orange and smaller and shorter leaves than my traditional jade.

The first plant I bought, Taciveria "Tasha". A few weeks ago I knew nothing about acclimating to direct sunlight and watering so she got sunburnt and shed lots of leaves 🥲 But this morning she bloomed a flower and has a bunch more on the way so I'm optimistic that things are getting better!
