Does anyone know the name of this succulent? My identifier has lost its mind and literally thinks it a rose. I know it’s a succulent just not sure what type.

Little Silver Cholla nub taken from a soggy winter tree in St. George, Utah. When you read “likes heat, full sun” this is the plant that really applies to. The pic with 2 is when I planted (RIP cholla number 2). It currently looks like a rhinoceros beetle. #silvercholla

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew what type of succulent this plant is? I grew it from a small cutting from my friends mother plant. Neither of us know it’s name and all plant identifiers say different plants. Any help would be greatly appreciated. đŸŒžđŸŒ±

I am having trouble with this guy! The rest of my cacti are doing well and none are having this issue. Not sure what’s going wrong. I don’t over water (if anything maybe under water?) im in Florida 9B and it’s in the high 90s here. The flesh on this guy is very “floppy”. No rot that I can see, no “mush”, just soft and floppy. Input?

Do you think my “kosmic kaktus” //pink Haworthia is dead? I know it grew for a while because you can see the green bits at the bases, but it hasn’t done much lately and it’s roots are not looking good. A friend of mine gave this to me and I am afraid I’ve killed it. The baby ones off to the sides of the bigger part are very wiggly, and tip over easily. I repotted it a couple of weeks ago from its slightly smaller grow pot to the terra-cotta one it came inside of, using succulent soil, but it doesn’t seem to have helped. Is it too late for this to survive? If not, what can I do? For some reason I always manage to kill succulents and cacti 😔

Sooo I have a question. I just bought this string of dolphins about a week or two ago and I put it in this little planter. It is thriving and growing like crazy, I’m starting to think the pot is too small for it now. I’m wondering if it’s too early to move it to a bigger pot even though I just repotted it about a week ago?

Hello all, I have this turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus with many offshoots. (more on the other side) I would love to be able to propagate these and add one to a pot for a friend. Everything I have read says they propagate from seeds. Does anyone have an insight if these will also propagate from cuttings? Thank you guys in advance for any advice!

Just bought this cute little Zebra Plant. Can’t think of any good names for it. Any recommendations?

I was just gifted/saved a bunch of succulents - two indoor succulent gardens, a variegated jade tree, and a desert rose. The most light I have available is an east window that’s already full of philodendrons, begonias, etc., so I’m a bit concerned about getting them enough light. Will they do ok under grow lights about 4-5’ from the window? I’m especially concerned about the jade and desert rose, which I’m obsessed with. Any suggestions?

Older pic from the point where I started thinking, “Okay, you don’t have any more room.” Note also that, other than my tiny murderous cholla, the prickly pad in the white square cup is the one that gave me the worst physical damage of any. I carried it home (long story) in my coat pocket, and It released hundreds of tiny fishhook needles into my leg. My face got tingly. Learned that lesson: small spines from prickly pear = do not touch.

Sorry I’m back again!! I have one more question. I bought this plant a while back and it’s grown drastically. I was just wondering what type of plant it is so I know what it needs and what size pot to get for it’s growing little life!!!

This is my hopeful sempervivum. It’s been growing very actively, but not in the way I expected. It’s stretching up and tilting a little to the side, which tells me it isn’t getting enough light. It sits under a grow light about 6in above it (technically, it’s under the LED hood of an Aerogarden) and is positioned right up against a corner with east-facing and north-facing windows. Do I need to move it elsewhere? Unfortunately this is the brightest spot in the apartment. Any advice would be appreciated!

Bunny ear cactus are supposedly slow growers but lately mine is growing big new ears out of nowhere! đŸ„č

So I got these three succulents over a month ago and a lot of the leaves are dying and falling off of all three of them. I used the diagnose tool and it said they were in a too dark of a place and over watered. I moved them to a window sill just now but I found out I’ve actually been watering them less than I’m supposed to. Any advice?

Will a self watering pot work for a succulent? I’m going away on a trip in July and was wondering if my succulents would be fine in a self watering pot like the one I made? Would they get too much, too little, or enough water? Soil is a cactus and succulent mix with perlite, plant shown is a “Shooting Star” sedum. It’s in a room with an east facing window.

UPDATE: Well, it’s been over a week and things haven’t changed much. I did some research and came up with a plan. As we can see my plant is not doing so great. As it was coming up time to fertilize my plant i instead reported it from regular potting soil to succulent soil to help with the drainage so hopefully I can get rid of the root rot. As I was reporting it I took away all the rotten root unfortunately there was not much to work with. I then rinsed the remaining roots with 3% hydrogen peroxide as I learned that can help get rid of the bacteria killing the roots. Hopefully in my warm room with the grow light it will heal and get better. Lmk if you think this will help!
