Why are some pearls drying out & dying, but not others? My variegated string of pearls ultimately seems kinda happy, but there are gaps of pearls that completely dry out and die. I water when soil is very dry and it receives plenty of west facing window sun. Most of the plant is very healthy, but some parts just dry out and die! What can I be doing better?

Hi, I just wanted someone more experienced and knowledgeable to confirm this. So, succulents hold water in their leaves since their normal habitat is very dry with not much water so they have to store it, anyway you already knew that... so what I'm saying is when the soil is dry it isn't time to water because the succulent will still have watered stored so if you water it then the plant won't take up any water as it doesn't need it buttttt if you wait till the leaves start to wrinkle just slightly, that's when you need to water as it's starting to use up the water in the leaves. Am I correct?

Busy today bringing outdoor plants in before the frost. I repotted one of my jade plants and gave her a trim. If I had to pick my favorite plant I’d say it’s jade, any type of them.

I was debating whether to post this on the Circle or on the problems page but I assumed y’all know a bit more bout succulents here. So a little while ago I beheaded my little Jewel plant because it was so leggy. But it’s been like 3-4 months and usually my succs root very quickly but this one has not rooted very well at all! It has maybe 2-3 roots that are very short! I am worried he will not root very well. Anything helps! Plz tell me if there is anything I can do or if it is normal! Second problem is my bear paw succulent had struggled with under-watering a year back. Since he is a succulent he dropped many leaves at the bottom and of course will never grow back. It looks terrible! I was debating cutting off the growth and re-rooting it and seeing if it will feel better? Tell me what you guys think. Third is I have a flaming Katy. And she is getting rly leggy and she is falling out of the pot and I was again debating if I should behead her? Again what do you guys think! Thanks again for any help you can provide! Have a good Wednesday! ✌️❤️

I was about to change this plant’s name to 6 Chainz when I noticed a future 7th chain brewing. (Old pic included for reference) Here’s to me not knocking off the shelf.

I had to repot this beast today. Went from a 6 inch to an 8 inch pot because it was too heavy and kept falling over. Ididn’t lose too much. What a pain though. Literally. Lol.

I’m so freaking excited to find tiny buds on my Thanksgiving cactus! I was given this plant in April as a baby. I started covering him every night a few weeks ago and it’s working. 😊 (Before & after)

Hi everyone quick question about my Echeveria ‘party dress.’ I recently moved it inside after I had it outside on my deck and the leaves have started to wilt and fall off. Currently 4 of its leaves have had this happen. I’m not sure if I gave it too much sun as it had part sun part shade. If anyone knows a good answer to this I would love it, I don’t want all of the leaves to die.

Some new finds today at the store and couldn’t resist picking them up! I’m suprised about how healthy they are for being in a big box store so i might go back for 2 more lol. Does anyone know the names of these two plants? Thanks in advance!🌿

Starting to add pea stones to the tops of my cactus collection, any tips on how this changes their care? Located in zone 10a, this is only a portion of my collection! Thanks!

Hey yall, so I got this little guy about a month ago from my local Home Depot. I’ll water every two weeks (by putting the plant in water, only submerging til the soil) and my windows face north, that’s where the plant sits. This is the third leaf that has turned yellow. Any tips?

Hi Ya’ll, I have a friend that gifted me this cactus which I replanted a while ago in my yard. Can anyone help identify what the name of it is? Thank you!

Hey everyone, I’ve had succulent clippings and I’ve placed them in pots so they hopefully grow. They all have roots, but aren’t anchored to the soil at all. Any tips? I’m really new to this.

What does “water with fertilizer” actually mean? It’s telling me to do both? Do one? I shouldn’t add fertilizer without some water?

Inspired by the mention of “I just got two” with regard to Ice Plants (Corpuscularia lehmannii), I divined which of the nine Home Depots in the valley had the plants and found them. K, my divination is mostly based on 1. Weird sucs show up around October 2 in the HD 2. This Home Depot is where I lost my beans last year due to full racks of Lithops calling my name Instead of three Ice Plants, I dug around in the back and found these other gems. I wanted a Fence Post for a while (the symmetry kills me), but this other one might be the gem. I thought it was another Trichocereus grandiflorus hybrid, but you can see the differences in the image (shorty plant is the Tg).
