Looking for help please and thank you!
My fishbone cactus has a strand that is turning brown.
The top soil 2” down is dry, soil inside the drainage hole on the bottom is damp.
The plant doctor said it’s overwatered so I’m going to let it dry out a bit.
Should I leave that strand alone or should I cut it off and possibly propagate it? There are 3 little babies on the end so I would like to save them somehow if possible.
What’s the best way to propagate it? This is the first succulent I haven’t killed (yet).
TIA

I have some echeveria that aren’t in the plant database it seems. When that happens, I know you can suggest a plant to be added but is there a way to check on that submission? Will I get notified if it was added? (I’m new to the app so I may have just not found it? Idk lol) TIA!

I got this string of rubies as a rescue and it’s in a pot without drainage, basically root bound, and the top of the soil is low in the pot. Any tips to try and prevent losing half the leaves when I repot? Or should I just accept that that’s probably going to happen no matter what I do?

Is my watch chain getting too much light? I’ve read some conflicting things about its light needs. It already had some dryness up the stalks when I got it, and it’s started to divide a little bit, but I’m still not sure. I have it in a north/nw facing window that gets 4 hours of direct afternoon sunlight. It’s also currently under a grow light that’s on 8 hours a day starting in the morning, but I can move it out from under the grow light but still be on the window sill if that’s an issue. An east facing window with 3 hours of morning light is also an option.

I got these two humilis over a year ago at the peak of my Copiapoa mania. They immediately bloomed like maniacs, and then I let them get root-bound (rookie move that both ruined plants and taught me a bit about how the heck succulent roots work).
I assumed the compact one was on its way out, but here we are.

This guy just keeps throwing out these pink things. I’m use to Cati flowering but these are unusual. Anyone have any input? They’re like a fruit with seeds inside but they’ve never flowered.

Found this pot and knew exactly what I wanted to put in it!

Does anyone have an idea if this is root rot? I just got her today and I haven’t inspected the roots yet, any opinions would be helpful!

Succulent issues… what’s going on? I initially thought the stem was rotting but diagnosis on another app I have says it’s doing well? Also it’s not mushy at all, it’s quite hard instead? Does that mean it’s not rotting? Or is it stem rot and if so, what do I do?😅
It seems to be growing perfectly fine, more than usual tbh so I’m unsure on what to do about it?

When is the best time to water string of pearls? Is this balding due to overwatering or under-watering?

How do you guys make your soil for desert cacti? In terms of ratio of organic to non organic materials? And which ones do you use? Thanks!

Sedum Broadleaf Stonecrop. Gets some early morning sun and some afternoon sun. Under 50% shade cloth other than that. I only water when it’s dry. It’s supposed to be able to handle blazing sun, so I thought this arrangement would be okay. But does it look like it’s getting too much sun? Maybe the black plastic pot is a problem? I need pro help please 😢

Hey there! So my succulent isn’t super happy. He started off as very red. He’s got no drainage in this little container, which I know isn’t ideal. If I were to repot, is it better if I just chop him so he’s not as leggy? Or does he have better chances if I keep his roots? Any other suggestions for how I can improve his care? Thanks so much!!!
Edit: he is currently in a south-facing window.

Does a grow light replace sunlight? (Also do I turn it off at night?)
I just moved into college and there isn’t much room for my plants. My room has 1 window but it has a wall outside of it. Will this be good enough?
