I bought 2 aloe vera plants approximately 3 weeks ago re-potted them and left them alone aside from watering here and there. One of them I noticed wasn’t growing as much and seemed a little lopsided just checked today. It has root rot 🥺 but I’m wondering would I be able to grow another aloe vera plant from this. I forgot the term new to plants lol

You might be able to keep it alive if you stick it in dirt but it sound like you were watering it too much, aloes love to be neglected lol I might water mine every 6 weeks.

It wasn’t dirt that’s what happened when I touched it because it looked a little droopy and when I touched it, it just fell off🥺 but my other one is thriving

This is very over watered. The leaves should not be that plump, they should have more of a half moon or half circle cross section. If your other one looks like this too, than it is just a matter of time.

it’s not the leaves are not plump but the other one is closest to the window and I live in Atlanta so I don’t know if maybe the water evaporated faster and that’s what saved it but I misread I thought I was supposed to water every three days it was every three weeks 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I wasn’t really like watering I was spraying… i have left all my succulents alone for the time being lol

Just cut that rotten part off and just lay it in the soil, don’t bury it just lay it on top of damp soil and give it 4wks. Then put in soil after you water the soil down and let it dry between watering. Always allow plants to dry about 1inch into the soil before a light watering. A plant meter stick can be a big help.
