I have an old lady cactus with an artificial flower hot glued on top… I wanted to remove it a while ago, because it’s inhibiting the growth, but all I could find online was using a heat fun to melt the glue? I’m afraid of singing the fuzz on my cactus. So, I’ve been ignoring the problem but I really need to do something! What should I do?? 😩

Hairdryer might soften it enough to get under the flower with tweezers and separate without damaging the plant.

I twisted gently side to side and wiggled till the flower came off like a tooth almost. Then I used tweezers to carefully pluck the excess glue away. It didn’t harm my cactus at all.

Interesting! I’ll have to try that first

I also twisted and pulled gently until mine came off.

I would use an exacto knife and tweezers, and just loosen it a little bit at a time

Run hot water over the top of it to loosen the glue. Make sure the water doesnt get into the roots. Gently twist it off and try to prevent as much damage as possible. It already looks like the plant is growing it off so it should be pretty easy.
