Hi! My dragon fruit is really on its own journey and I can’t figure out how to help him :( His trunk won’t grow but he LOVES his lil crazy arms… Should I just let him do his thing, prune him, unstake him, propagate him??? Any ideas would be great.
I wish I could help I only grow houseplants :(

좋아요 1개It's been a while since I've grown them but while it's growing gently bend the leaves up your structure and use gardening tape (the green stretchy kind is best) to tie it up. Once it reaches the desired height, if you prune a bit it will start branching out

0개 좋아요In the wild, dragonfruit grows as an epiphyte and climbs/hangs down from trees. So you can use a sturdy stake to train it into a tree as TKBaha showed, or treat it as you would a dendrobium anosmum and let it drape off a hanging mount. Or keep it small with pruning and propagating
