0 gillningarDon’t forget the cactus and succulents like their soil to be well draining , especially the cactuses. None of them like to stay wet - which in Texas sometimes means sheltering them from too much rain. (I used to ignore Planta’s watering schedule because I thought it didn’t know much about cactuses. But now I water according to its recommended times (usually) and the plants are all happier.)
1 gillahow many times do you recommend them to be watered?? & thank you sm for the advice!
0 gillningarI’d say water the cactuses approximately every 6 weeks and the succulents more often. (Water more in the summer growing months and less/not at all in the winter when they’re resting). Also you can make sure the soil drains well by mixing in perlite, small granite pieces, turface, etc into the soil. (Some ‘cactus’ soils like miracle grow for cactuses hold too much water and need perlite or something added so that it drains better). Also also the Planta app will tell you when to water them. The more info you give it about each plant, the more it refines the recommendations.
