I have about 5 succulents in pots this shape. I had 6, but somehow the drainage wasn't working and the soil was like soup at the bottom. Do you think it's the shape of the pots? I use succulent soil with perilite, it always drains out the bottom.

I’m wondering if perhaps it’s the glaze of the pot. Terra cotta pots are great at wicking away excess moisture, but glazed ceramic pots are built to hold the moisture in, which makes them great for tropical plants that don’t like completely drying out, but not great for succulents. If it’s a glazed pot, perhaps that’s a part of the problem 🤔 Hope this helps

It does help, thank you. I'll be checking them regularly and move them to different pots next time.

You could use it as a cover pot, maybe, and place a plant in a smaller plastic pot inside this pot.
