I purchased this plant in this strawberry pot. There were chicks in the lower holes, but they died. One on the top is now dying. I keep it under a sun light. I know I have been watering it too much. I started by watering from the bottom, and that’s when the lower hens died. So I started watering from the top. Still too much water because I was watering every 7-10 days. Is there anything else besides the water that is causing the plants to die?

    Could be the substrate or restrictors on the roots from the company you bought it from

    If they are dying from overwatering, definitely need to repot in cactus soil amended with perlite or pumice. Also, sempervivum typically don’t do well indoors; they have pretty high sun requirements. You may want to start acclimating it to more sunlight and relocate it outside. Also, those hanging plants in the basket look delicate and probably have different sun and water requirements than your hens. As cute as it looks, I’d separate them and repot with plants that have similar requirements or alone. I put my hens with cacti.
