Hi dear C&S parents. I have a question about repotting. Should I repot this molded wax succulent in a bigger pot this spring? I re-potted it last year and it doesn’t look root-bound to me. However, it looks a little bit too big for the current pot. What do you think? Many thanks! X 🌿
On average succulents and cacti get repotted about every two years. If for no other reason than to freshen the soil. If the roots seem to need it going up one size of pot is all that is recommended. As you're planning, the spring is the better time to repot. If you decide to repot, make sure it's well hydrated but do the repotting when the soil is dry and then don't water for about a week after it's repotted. Thanks for the post, it reminds me it's about time that I repot some of my succulents and cacti. One is going to be especially difficult since it's about 5 ft tall.
