I posted about a month back about my tephrocactus growing possibly a flower, a new segment, or an alien ๐Ÿ‘ฝ It turns out she was growing a new segment! Itโ€™s getting really big, and is popping out cute little spikes ๐Ÿคฉ This is my first (and only) cactus and Iโ€™ve got a big soft spot for her. I brought her back with me on a plane in my purse ๐Ÿคฃ (First photo is around a month ago and second photo is from today)

On a trip to Missouri last year, I got lucky and a local greenhouse had 4 of them. Iโ€™ve also seen them for sale online, Etsy and weirdly I think Home Depot or Loweโ€™s.

Awesome!! I love watching them pop out new spheres. It's one of my favorite cacti I own.

Itโ€™s been so fun to watch! I always stare at her whenever Iโ€™m in my kitchen. Consequently, I take way longer to get anything done in there. ๐Ÿ˜‚ How quickly does yours grow? Iโ€™ve been trying to research how fast or slow they grow; but Iโ€™ve not been having much luck finding answers.

I live in WA so the top growth really slowed down once winter hit. I got it as just a ball first week of July. Late July it started pushing out a second sphere and was griwing really quickly. And it hasn't progressed much. I think the lower light and heat have definitely impacted it

Aww ๐Ÿฅฐ sheโ€™s so cute! I live in New England, the lower light situation right now is no joke here as well. I cannot wait for spring, Iโ€™ll keep my fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป it gets to you quickly too!

We've been having our usual PNW "Fools Spring" in which it gets up to mid 60s and sunny and then drops back to mid 30s and pouring rain for a week lol. I've been setting up a new plant shelf, and I think this will go on it, to get some artificial life.

I took a time lapse of a flower on this cactus blooming while I was away and my dog knocked it over.

I love that itโ€™s in a tea tin! What a great idea! I might do that!

The tin was too cute to throw away, and the nursery pot fit inside it; instantly cute! ๐Ÿซ– ๐ŸŒต
