What is the best soil for succulents. I was thinking soil, perlite and sand. Any advice.

I use Perfect Plants Organic Succulent Soil and Bonsai Jack's Gritty Mix at a 1:1 ratio.

I don't know why I read the question as snakes instead of succulents 🤦🏼‍♀️ I also use different percentages depending on the plant type!

Yep Bonsai Jacks Gritty Mix. I usually add some regular potting soil to it because it drys out very quickly. And the percentage varies depending upon the succulent. Echeveria get very little add in soil while Haworthias get more and peperomias get even more. Ordering direct is cheaper than Amazon. I have quite a few and have been using Jacks for about a year now.

Wow you sure do have alot of succulents. I think their cool looking but i end up killing them bcz i don't have a good light for them and i end up watering them to much ,i guess!

How often do you water them?

I caught an Amazon sale once where 6 gallons was $65! Cheapest I've ever seen that size; normally I buy direct and it's about $70

Today I have 8 on the Planta schedule. And a few tropicals. But I always check others.

It depends of soil, a good succulent mix could do the job, you can add some perlite, but it’s very hard to find perlite without dust or powder, and in any case not all the succulents need this extra. The soil mix should be light and fluffy, small pieces of bark or even wood are welcome because they prevent the soil to become hard, but they have to be small, especially in small pots. I did really good with Dr Earth succulent mix and I find a fabulous perlite with zero dust. You have to try, your plants will give you the answer.

I use Black Gold organic cactus and succulent soil. Love it. I don't add anything. Have about 110 plants in this soil. They're doing great, if I might say so myself ☺️
