Help!! New aloe mom here!! My aloe is drooping and turning brown and I don’t know what is wrong. I don’t want to overwater it, but every time I give it water it the leaves look more plump so I’m torn. I don’t know if I sunburned it, overwatering, or under watering it? Need some advice :)

Is it close to sunlight? Or too close to sunlight? We keep ours in the window down stairs (indirect light), and it’s not watered often at all, and is thriving. So I wonder if it needs a spot with some indirect light? ☺️

It’s pretty close to a window with direct sunlight, I’ll move it a little bit further away so it’s not too harsh

This may help, and also very little water! We forget about ours a lot, but it seems to like the neglect! 😂

Thats happened to me before with aloes its usually overwatering. I suppose it could be the sun. Just fertilize it next time you water. And when its completely dry wait another week before you water

How often do you water? Mine thrives with only being watered about once a month

I tried to go according to the watering schedule, but sometimes the soil is completely dry for days so I water it a little early

The best advice I can give for succulents / aloes is to neglect their watering a little bit. Less watering is better than more in my opinion. I try to remind myself that they can easily survive in the desert without water for months at a time, so I don’t want to drown them. Best of luck on this little guy! 🙂

The planta watering schedule for succulents is generally too frequent for my plants… and I have seen others complain the same too… the plants and the potting medium are your best guide
