Any idea why this guy is suffering? (New to succulents…)
Mainly this is down to watering issues. Succulents typically don’t like water on their leaves at all, so when you water, just water the soil. Some people bottom water to keep splashing to a minimum. Also be sure the soil is completely dry before watering again. Snooze Planta’s watering suggestions if needed so the schedule adjusts. Aside from that, just be sure it gets as much direct sunlight as possible and remove those rotting leaves. It’ll eventually recover.

0 LikesHe’s suffering from overwatering. And judging by the leaves, the roots are probably in bad shape. So they need to be checked. You may still have enough good stem to chop and prop. Should only water echeverias when soil is bone dry. And they need lots of bright light.
0 LikesI would repot into terracotta and check the roots then use very gritty substrate.
