I'm new-ish with succulents. Some are doing good, but this one confuses me. Evertime I go to water there are bottom leaves shriveled. I've had it for over a year. It seems healthy. Does this mean I should water it more frequently? I wait til dry. I check the firmness/plumpness too. So, maybe averages every other week for watering.
Dried, shriveled leaves are normal. What is not normal, are plump translucent leaves that occurs with frequent overwatering. Your plant looks healthy.

It looks like you might move it to a sunnier spot. If it is getting taller while losing those leaves it is searching for light. Echevaria like a LOT of light.
3개 좋아요 OK - thanks, I didn't know about the translucent plump leaves, so I'll keep that in mind. I feel this one is ignored because it's at my work office, but definitely wanted some opinions.

Totally normal. Some of these kinds of plants grow taller even with enough light. As they grow the bottom leaves receive less light and the plant discards them. After a while you may notice the plant is top heavy and tilting to the side. This is usually after a couple of years for a succulent. At that point you could plant it a little deeper, but it hopefully has also grown some babies so you could just chop the tallest parts and they will regrow!
