I need help identifying this plant. The scanner says it's one called a "pig ear" but I'm just not sure that's right. I tried using google and it gave me so many different answers that I just don't know.

It’s a cotyledon. I don’t think it’s a cultivar that’s available on the app at the moment, though, so I’d probably identify it as a cotyledon orbiculata for now, but it looks to be a cotyledon ‘choco line’, or cotyledon papillaris. Hope this helps!

This looks to be the closest you can get on the app. It’ll give pretty much the same care instructions across the species. Yours is just a very specific cultivar.

This is the second closest option out of what’s available on Planta

Its definitely not a pigs ear. I have one and it looks much different.

I respectfully have to disagree there. Cotyledons have a lot of different varieties and cultivars. Slothgirl’s plant just looks to be a very specific cultivar of one that is specifically cultivated to have wavy edges on the leaves; a cultivar that hasn’t been added to the app as it isn’t quite as popular as other cotlyedons, like cotyledon orbiculata or cotyledon tomentosa. I definitely think it’s a cotyledon ‘choco line’/cotlyedon papillaris, but because that isn’t an ID option just yet, cotyledon mint truffle or cotyledon finger aloe oblonga would be the closest match available that’ll offer the same type of care information.
