Tried to propagate these succulent leaves and no luck. I left them alone for 2 days to allow the ends to callus then put them in soil and misted it but they just look worse. I’m propagating the stem as well in the first one. I just moved them over to the other pot today but the stem on the right is also another propagation from the same plant. Any tips on how to get succulent leaves and stem to propagate. The other stem on the left in the second picture is the “mother plant” any tips on making sure she survives this? She was quite leggy (see last picture) so I figured a cut would be good here.

    I haven’t propagated a succulent but I have propagated other things and what I did is I took the baby ones that were falling off of it and I just planted them right away in dirt

    I have propagated that same plant. I stuck the leaves in the dirt and put it in the morning sun outside and just watered it like planta said to and it got roots!! Its not a full plant but its got roots. So maybe try that..

    Related story, bear with me: At work there was a tiny empty pot of dirt kicking around from a dead cactus so I brought in a succulent leaf to stick in it around the end of 2023. Because it was at work in an often neglected spot due to everybody being hybrid, it was totally forgotten, and when I remembered to check on it, nothing was going on. No loss for trying. Fast forward to sometime in Fall 2024 - it rooted and started to grow! I asked, and nobody had done anything other than watch that tiny leaf shrivel up. Now it's being cared for properly. Lesson learned - plants don't always need to be babied, and a watched pot never boils 😄
