One stalk has this brown spot that is hard and firm. No signs of rot. There is a base stalk growing on the same stalk. Should I take a cutting? Cut the brown out and rooting the cutting?

Wolfen 🐺It kinda looks like it started rotting, then healed up. It might be fine, and you could just make sure it doesn't spread at all. Or you could take a top cutting, and then cut off the brown area, and leave the bottom portion rooted
