Can anyone tell me why my haworthia keeps losing leaves? I have her in well-draining succulent soil and only water when it’s dry to the bottom. It seems she loses one leaf every two weeks; they just shrivel and die. I just checked her roots and they are healthy. Does she need a smaller container? Is she sensitive to drafts?? I really want her to thrive and would appreciate any help!

If it’s the bottom ones maybe it’s supposed to as it grows? I have no idea about this particular plant I just know a lot of my plants will lose the lower leaves as they gain ones at the top

Could be. I thought this one was supposed to grow bigger as she is very small. If that’s it I can stop worrying. Thank you!

Ask Google to see if it’s normal for this type of plant. I’m curious myself lol

World of Succulents says this one should stay small (3” to 7”) and to water less over winter. If you fertilize, avoid doing so over summer as they need a 6-to 8-week rest period. Do not fertilize newly potted plants for the first year. Shrivelling leaves might be a sign of root rot. Since she is supposed to be small and I’ve allwed her to dry out between waterings, I’ll assume the shrivelled leaves are normal? I’ll try letting her dry out for a bit longer between waterings.

It’s normal for succulents to lose their oldest leaves
