Is this brownish/rusty colour that started to appear at the bottom area of my zebra plant normal due to maturation or is it overwatered? I’ve had this gal since the end of May. She’s been living on my dining room table ever since, which is positioned in front of a large southwest facing front window. I’ve largely followed Planta’s advice and it’s always seemed happy and even seems to be sprouting a couple of babies. Planta does say it’s placed too dark but I’ve disregarded that as Planta isn’t my taking the window size into account (plus, the jade and aloe that are in the same spot are fine). It was last watered 12 days ago, due to be watered again today but I would snooze that as the soil’s slightly damp. Hopefully I haven’t hurt her🤞🤞

My fairy washboard succulent did this too!! It’s normal for succulents that get older or get too much light. As long as the brown doesn’t feel super squishy it’s a healthy plant!!

One of my zebra plants has done this and no one knows what the issue is… she seems happy as has now pushed out a flower stem and new leaves are coming through too 🤷🏼‍♀️ sometimes I think intervention isn’t the key x

I think it’s too much light. Mine did this. A friend who has a succulent business thought it was too much light. I moved it and over the course of the next month, it greened back up.

Thank you all for the comments. I’ll try moving it to get a little less direct light and cross my fingers.
