Is this a zebra plant or a Hawortia plant? What should I call it to add as a plant? Should I take out the little circles that are growing with in it?

Zebra Haworthia There are different varieties of Haworthia. Zebra is one of them. Sometimes it’s confusing when searching on the app because it’s been added by users and named/worded differently.
4개 좋아요Haworthiopsis attenuata concolor! “Technically” they are different than the haworthia because they have thicker skinned leaves
2개 좋아요Thanks so much. I got it at a farmers market for like $5. I was told to water it a shot glass every two weeks but I think I’m going to do less but every week. I’ll go by the soil dryness.
0개 좋아요Great idea! I have a few different types of haworthiopsis and they’re really easy going! I might repot this one, the soil looks super wet, unless you just watered. You’ll want a super well draining soil, drainage holes in your pot and only water when completely dry! Also lots of bright light!

i’ve been caring for haworthia for years and i would not recommend watering a specific amount nor watering as often as every week or two weeks unless you live in a very hot and dry environment where the soil will dry within days. haworthia and haworthiopsis i have found prefer their soil to stay dry for a few days at least before watering. then, the soil should be fully saturated and allowed to dry out entirely again. this process takes 30-45 days depending on the season (airflow, humidity, and temperature)
좋아요 1개Thanks I just watered it recently since I just got it Sunday. It has several holes at the bottom. I might replant it bc I’m not sure what soil it was potted in. Would you all recommend I put it on my patio with a covering over it or keep it inside since it’s slightly getting cooler weather?
0개 좋아요The only thing I worry about with unknown soil is just how long will the roots stay wet. I would repot it into something specifically for cacti/succulents. You could do a soil change though and reuse the same pot. It would really depend on what zone you live in. They don’t do well under 60 degrees. I live in zone 8b so all my haworthiopsis have been put back inside. They do really well outside though when the conditions are right!
