Sedum Broadleaf Stonecrop. Gets some early morning sun and some afternoon sun. Under 50% shade cloth other than that. I only water when it’s dry. It’s supposed to be able to handle blazing sun, so I thought this arrangement would be okay. But does it look like it’s getting too much sun? Maybe the black plastic pot is a problem? I need pro help please 😢

If this were my plant I’d put it in a smaller terra cotta pot & a soilless gritty mix i think with the right low moisture/lower humidity these can thrive in blazing sun — but with the moisture trapped in the soil (plus the plastic) it gets a little too steamy

I personally don’t have any sedums atm , but it looks a little crispy , maybe try a lighter colored pot , like white? And some bright but indirect like may help . Maybe it’s getting too dried out or burned because of the direct sun it looks like it’s in now . Not sure , but hope this helps! I would repot , give it a little more shade , and a thorough watering . :)

Also, remove any dead leaves and stems that way it can breathe better !

Definitely make sure the pot and soil has good drainage as well :)

Thank you! It’s in cactus soil but I’ll repot and make sure it’s under the shade cloth full time. Didn’t know about removing the burnt parts helping it breathe!! Thanks again!

Of course no problem ! Removing the dead stems, leaves, and roots helps the plant photosynthesize better because it’s there’s no dead pieces blocking the sun from the healthy parts!
