I have mine in a kitchen window where some sunshine comes thru. And it’s been blooming and new buds coming thru

You can put it in a dark room for a week or so or make sure it’s totally pitch black at night for at least 10-12 hours. It will trigger them to bloom, they think it’s winter.

This one is actually a thanksgiving cactus! They can bloom year round with the proper conditions 🤗

not sure what your “yeah i know” comment was since you’re asking for advice BUT if it hasn’t already started making blooms by this point, it might not do it this year. my thanksgiving cactus will sometimes bloom twice a year. the key is REALLY good light during the growing months, and then a solid dip in light and temperature come fall to trigger blooms

Mine hasn't bloomed for a long time and i think it's due to light. This is a photo of the location. It's a south facing window. Because of the time there is not much light but it will get brighter soon.

that close to a south facing is probably too much light — do you have an east or west facing?

My experience with holiday cactus that it’s all about light. Blooming is stimulated by shortening of the days. This mechanism can be interrupted by artificial light “lengthening” daylight hours. I don’t think your plant is getting too much light because I don’t see red segments (anthocyanin). They will get a rosy cast when exposed to too high light.
