I’m not sure what happened. My plant was fine yesterday (overgrowing the pot a bit) and today it fell out and left me with this. Should I have repotted it sooner? I’m so sad 😭. Any chance of saving it? I’ve got another one that’s doing the same thing. Was I supposed to cut it back? I don’t know much about succulents… I was just happy that they were low maintenance. 🙄🤔

Absolutely you can save it! My aristaloe had its roots completely rotted away before I realized it. That was its first life. This piece will grow new roots if you put it in soil, but I strongly recommend you change how you care for it. The soil should be completely dry before watering again. And it should be in the sunniest place you can put it. This one looks like it was overwatered and didn’t get enough sun which led to it falling apart. Succulents are low maintenance, but they are also a little picky.

Oh yeah super root rot. You can save this no problem. I would put it in a terra cotta pot and water it MUCH less 😁

A terracotta pot is a great way to help fight against root rot because the dirt will dry out faster. Make sure you are using succulent soil too.

Oh no! Yes, unfortunately it looks like way too much love (watering) did it in. ❤️ Succulents like to sit in dry dirt and only be watered after they use up some of the stored water in their lower leaves. Then when you water, they suck that up and fill their bottom leaves back up. Then they sit in dry dirt until they need water again. The leaves looking sort of translucent is another sign it is getting too much water. It looks like the roots rotted. These being to tall makes me think they need more light too. Succulents stretch up high for the light when they need more. Getting lighter and lighter colored or only being green if they should be a fun color are also signs it needs more light. Love the name by the way! Don’t worry, we all kill plants at some point or another.❤️
