Hey Y’all! I have a question! The Aloes where not supposed to be watered for 10 more days! But they got a ton today, because of the unplanned rain and there is more rain on the way this weekend! I plan on bringing them inside until the rain is over. Is that okay?
They’ll be better off indoors if it’s raining too much for them. Give them as much light as possible and put a fan on them to help dry out the soil if you have one available. It will be much more damaging for them to get overwatered than to have a little less light through the weekend. That being said, if they have good drainage then it may not be necessary to bring them in. This is my aloe that I keep outside in the Seattle area spring, summer, and fall. It’s been in this pot for a few years, but it was still getting a bit of mold on the soil around the transition to winter here. I would say it’s better safe than sorry for smaller plants though!

0件のいいねAlso, I hope it’s ok if I offer a bit of unsolicited advice along with this. It looks like the pot your single aloe shoot is in might be too big for the plant. You know your plants better than I do. So if it had a big root system when you potted it, this may not be an issue. If it’s growing and has been in that pot for a while, I would say leave it as it is. If you’ve noticed slow growth or quickly dying tissue in that plant though, you may want to repot it into a smaller pot or extend time between watering compared to the pot with 2 aloe in it. The most common thing people tell me when complaining about their dying aloe is “Its not root rot. I only water it every two weeks”. Watering aloe every 2 weeks is almost always too much! Especially if it was recently repotted!
0件のいいね Thank you, it would actually probably be better in a smaller pot. Because the roots are small smaller.. I had it in a smaller pot at one time and the roots grew like crazy since I’ve switched it, the growth has slowed down I’ve noticed.

In my Experience, Aloe THRIVES in the bathroom. natural light and the warmth/humidity from showers is where they do best

いいね 1件 Today I switch the Aloes pots, I put the two in the bigger terra-cotta pot and the small smaller one in the small blue plastic one. I did not water, because the soil was wet from yesterday and I brought them inside.
いいね 1件 Here is Aloe1 her root is solid and very bright white at the bottom.
And I think ALOE3 and 4 are going to be much happier in this larger terra-cotta pot!
