    Definitely not dead, but has been overwatered which led to root rot. Succulents are very hardy and will recover from this point and even worse as long as it’s potted into well-draining succulent soil and watered when almost completely dry. Also will help recovery if it gets full sun.

      I use 100% Jack’sgritty mix no soil. Is that okay?

      Yeah, should be! In that case, you should be fine, just be sure to let it drain and dry out between watering. Roots actually need a proper balance of water and air in order to thrive. Good luck!
