    I think they’re called tubers. Like a potato lol. But basically it stores water and nutrients for the plant. And if you plant it in soil, that part will grow roots and its own stems

      Do you know the best way to propagate a string of hearts? I have them in water currently

      Water will work. I experimented a little while ago, 1 of each spagh moss / soil / water. Moss and soil were equal and water was significantly behind & weaker as a whole. I kept both the moss and soil covered to maintain humidity until I saw decent growth on them and misted fairly regularly.

      water works but also like Mullein said, that tuber will send out shoots if you plant it — so you could cut that bit off and plant it
