I need advice😭😭 I’m new to this and I’m trying so hard to take care of this plant and I have no clue what’s going on. If anyone has any knowledge or advice I would greatly appreciate it!!! It gets direct sunlight and has drainage and I don’t think I’m overwatering it but who knows😭 it’s still growing well but leaves keep fallingšŸ˜”

What sort of soil is it planted in? If it’s not a succulent specific blend it could be holding water too long and causing some issues. I would also remove the moss as succulents like to dry out between waterings and the moss might keep it too moist too long. Also, do you happen to know their exact species? Some succulents will get tall, but for some the height can mean they need more light or light for a longer amount of time.

Luccily it is succulent specific soil. I will def remove the moss!! I didn’t even think about that😭😭 I haven’t been able to figure out the exact species and for some reason it was not labeledšŸ˜”other than that it is always in the sun cause it sits in a window, my other succulent is doing really well in the same spot!

It might be as simple as removing the moss so that the soil can dry faster 😃 If they still drop leaves I would look into moving them someplace like a southern window (if it’s not already).

This looks to be 2-3 different plants in one pot. I’m no expert, but it looks like they could be different kinds of echeverias &/or ghost plants. I have a small ghost plant and I water it once every 2 weeks. The soil should be completely dried out between waterings to prevent root rot. You want these kind of plants to be in a well draining succulent soil. It’s also important that there’s a drainage hole in the bottom of your pot. I hope this helps! šŸ«¶šŸ» Side note - I don’t think it’s good to have moss with these kinds of plants. Hopefully someone else knows more about this, but it might be a good thing to look into just incase. I just hope the moss isn’t trapping in moisture because succulents need to be able to dry out.

So I can’t help with exactly what plants they are, you might use Planta’s identifier or do some heavy research to figure that out. Other apps have better plant identifiers, so you might try them. Likely echeveria or graptoveria (some of them look so similar to each other). Looks like 4 different species. However, I can tell you that your plants all look like they are happy with how you’re caring for them currently. It appears that before you bought them though, they weren’t getting enough sun and were thus etiolated, stretching to find light. Though you are taking care of them well now, they want to shed their old leaves because they don’t need them anymore. So the good news is they’re healthy! The bad news is, they’re going to look pretty leggy. What I end up doing when this happens is cut the healthy tops off and plop them into soil. Over a short amount of time, the stems will regrow roots to support the plants. My advice? Give them another few months to give them time to develop. Then cut them off, giving them a couple inches of stem, let them dry and scab for a day or two, then put them in soil and water them regularly as if they have roots. Separate them into different planters so they can grow separately and ditch the moss. Happy growing!

What type of soil are they in and if there not in succulent mix I would change it to that
