hey y’all, what on earth is my plant doing? šŸ˜‚ can i cut this piece off? it looks like a THICK shoot? idk what to call it, should i just leave it be for now?

    i don’t have one of these plants but she looks like she’s either putting out a baby or a flower, either way it’s a good thing! you can chop her off and if it’s a baby i would either chop and pot up or let it grow off mom

    Aloe do crazy things. This one put up a gigantic "flower" and grew all this blonde last year.

      Yes. Good question, though ha. I repotted it, and it’s doing a little ā€œsettling.ā€ Here’s the pic I couldn’t find earlier.

      Different species, but note how the pups are all on stems? They aim for the ground, take root, and then clump.

    I bought a small (6ā€) aloe vera last year. I live in South Louisiana, where sometimes it’s very dry, and sometimes VERY wet. Apparently aloe vera love this climate! It grew and grew, and FLOWERED! I didn’t even know they DID that! Lol
