if by transplant you mean repot, then it depends entirely on the roots. string of turtles are shallow rooters, so it may not be time yet, even if the vines are getting long. if you're trying to reduce the length of the vines you can cut them & propagate.
3 Me gustaYes I meant to repot. I’ll have to do some research on propagating. I have never done that before. Im new to succulents but my coworker asked me today to give him some clippings.
1 me gustai recommend putting them directly in soil or sphagnum moss in a shallow dish or saucer & keeping the medium damp for the first few days. less risk of rot for succulents. once you see roots start to develop, reduce watering to once a week or so. once roots reach 2 inches long (which may take months!), you can transfer them into a proper pot and give them a normal watering schedule. works wonders for me.
2 Me gustaThank you! I appreciate the help!
0 Me gustaPeperomia perfer to be snug in their pots. They are semi succulents and have small root systems. I would not repot again so soon and just let it grow and start to trail. All the SOT that I've seen are in pots that err the smaller side.
1 me gustaThank you that was very helpful!
1 me gustaHow have you helped it to grow so much? I just got one and am looking for tips!
0 Me gustaI basically leave it alone…It sits in my bedroom window facing northwest so it gets afternoon sun and I water it when dry to touch. It’s been easy so far to maintain along with my string of rubies. Thats also in the same window and it’s got another plant starting. I better learn to propagate!
