I’m trying to figure out the best set up for 3 of my plants. My lucky bamboo, my marble queen pothos, and my narrow leaf chalkstick. They are all near an east facing window, so they don’t get too much sun but they also aren’t in the shade. I bought a grow light for direct sun for my chalkstick. My question is where should I place my other two? I know they both like indirect light. Here are two pictures of different locations I can put the pothos and the lucky bamboo so you can see where the window and grow light are. Any advice would be appreciated!! Would one like the grow light more than the window? Would they both like it? Kinda just trying to create the best set up for them to survive!

The lights are too far from all the plants to have any effect. Put them all on one surface. Put one light within 1 foot of the pothos and about 6 -8 inches from the succulent. You don’t need to put them in front of the window when you have a good grow light. You can keep them in the east window if the lights are too weak. Indirect light doesn’t apply to a grow light. You can place the light right over the plant. Most grow lights in the home are not strong enough to burn a plant like being in direct sunlight.

You’re welcome. I should add to run the lights at least 12 hours a day starting early morning. Use the timer to run it during daylight hours to keep the plants circadian rhythm synced up.

Thumbs up to Sunny’s suggestions. But will add, the grow lights you have won’t burn your plants, but name brand lights can because I’ve done it. Even when at a distance.

I’m looking for a grow light for my plants that are at the back of the room (we get very low light in winter) - which one did you get?
