I got this succulent mix today. I believe it’s a type of Jade plant and something else. Does anyone know what these two plants may be.

The one with the darker plump leaves is a jade plant and the one with the red stem is an elephant bush!

All but the one with the red stem and little leaves are jades. That one in the corner with the small leaves is called an elephant bush. The ones with the curled tips are gollum jades, also known as “ogre ears”, and the one with the large flat leaves is a classic jade. You might want to be careful with the elephant bush in the corner. If the elephant bush seems to react poorly to waterings but the jades seem fine, you might want to give the elephant bush a separate home. All of those can really branch out if well cared for, especially the elephant bush, so it’ll likely need more space than the other jades together.

Thank you. That’s exactly what I was thinking— to replant the elephant bush separately in time. Sometimes you take a chance when you replant cause it shocks the plant. Right now it’s ok 👍☺️.

Happy to hear it! I love jades. Mine turned 30 this year and I’m very happy about how hardy it is. Hope it becomes a new favorite for you. They really thrive on neglect, so he’s the least of my worries in comparison to my other plants
