I could use some advice!! My sister got this cactus a few years ago and she has been able to keep it alive but gave it to me to care for since it’s in pretty poor condition. Fairly certain it’s a Peruvian old lady, it did come with 3 fake flowers hot glued to it, and it’s slowly falling apart. Can I take the piece that fell off and propagate it? Can I save it? It looks like it’s been overwatered and underwatered repeatedly. It’s down to one stem at this point and I don’t want it to die! Help would be appreciated!!

    Well never mind the stem that came off. I turned around to find some soil for it and my kitten jumped in and stole the stem and proceeded to eat 90% of it. So that’s gone now. I still have the main plant with the one okay looking stem though.

    South window lots of sun and some extra grow lights in afternoon, only water when you can slightly bend it. Otherwise it is storing water just fine. I don’t water according to soil for my succulents or cacti. I have a lot all doing well.
