Looking for advice about my Jade plant‼️ I’ve had this Jade plant for about 5 years, but only started actively researching/caring for it for the past several months. While neglected it didn’t really grow, but now is taking off! 3 of the stems are thick/sturdy and showing tons of new growth. 1 stem is super thin and it only has growth on the very ends of 3 long branches. One is so heavy it’s now resting on the edge of the pot. The thin stem doesn’t look dead or dying, but I’m not sure what to do with the 3 long branches. It’s not showing new growth along the stem like the others are now that I’m fertilizing and it has adequate light. Any ideas or advice are appreciated!

The best I can suggest off the top of my head is to rotate the pot so that the stalks with the thinnest stems get the most sun. If that doesn’t help after a while to even it out, you might want to consider taking the heaviest stems, then the thinnest stems, and separating them into two or three separate pots. Hope this helps.

They’re hard to find outside of Home Depot or Lowe’s, and I’d never suggest them from there cause their plants are infamous for pest infestation and potting plants in the wrong soil. My best advice would be looking up “crassula ovata” or “jade plant” (Crassula ovata for this jade, specifically) on Etsy, or trying local nurseries and looking up ones in your area if you don’t know any. It was impossible for me to find another in a store until I went to a well known nursery a few towns from mine. Jades are very hardy and great for beginners. They thrive on neglect. Hope you find one!

I think you actually have two different species in this pot, which may account for the stem difference… I believe the blue circle plant is a pinwheel haworthia and the red is a jade. The new leaves are growing in in a different pattern and the leaves are not the same shape.

The haworthia (blue) plant is showing signs that it needs more light. If you don’t mind the way it looks you can leave it the way it is but if you want it to have the “typical” haworthia look you’ll need to propagate it. Your jade (red) looks great! jade that’s toppled over you can always try to stake it upright or repot it upright. They’re super easy to prop.
