Would anybody be able to give me any advice on propagating succulents? I’ve been trying for a while with a bunch of leaves I’ve got but all of them keep getting wrinkly or squishy and gross before any roots even appear. I’m letting them callus over before putting them on top of soil and I’m keeping the soil dry the whole time, but no luck so far.
I usually let mine sprout roots before even putting them in the soil, also make sure they’re getting enough light. Be sure when you’re taking the leaf that it comes off the node cleanly and doesn’t tear at the base, that’s happened to me a few times and those leaves never prop. I hope your next attempt works better!

Not all succulents will prop from leaves. So what are you trying? I tried looking at your Planta to see what plants you have but you have it set to “private”.
0 Me gusta I haven’t put up any succulents on the app yet so you wouldn’t have found them anyway! I’ve only been trying echeveria succulents because I’ve read that those ones work for leaf propagation. I did find one that propagated and had roots growing, so I know they can, but someone threw it out by accident so I’ve had to try again from scratch 😭
0 Me gusta Sounds like you’re on the way to success. Even with Echeveria, prop success can vary. I gave up on it. Just takes too long, but many enjoy trying. Good luck.
