Help! I got this fishbone cactus (I think?) from a friend and am not sure what’s wrong with it. It is SUPER stringy. The ends are droopy then then crispy, so I’m thinking it’s a watering issue? But I’m not sure if it’s under or overwatering, and I’ve never heard of either of those making a plant this stringy.

    They become thin and spindly when they need more light. It looks dehydrated on some areas. 🪴🍀

    The dehydration makes sense, I can def increase its watering frequency and maybe even give it a soak? It’s been sitting in a southeast facing window though, could it also need a grow light? Or is it possible for it to become spindly from too much light?

    It looks more like an Orchid cactus to me, rather than a fishbone!
